The weekly study module introductions on Canvas have been created using MidJourney and HeyGen. MidJourney is a powerful AI tool renowned for generating detailed and lifelike images. In this case, it was employed to design a digital assistant avatar that guides students through their learning journey. HeyGen brought our digital assistant avatar to life. The platform specialises in creating realistic and engaging video content, utilising advanced algorithms to animate avatars in a way that mimics human expressions and movements. Demonstrating HeyGen's capabilities to students was important, especially as they were expected to use HeyGen to create a buyer persona (* an ideal customer) for a client company.
This introductory video on digital branding features Inna Piven, a digital marketing lecturer, but it's important to clarify that you're not seeing the real Inna. Instead, the video shows a digital twin of her, generated using the HeyGen platform for instant avatar creation. Additionally, the voiceover was produced using ElevenLabs, a text-to-speech AI platform, enhancing the overall AI-driven content presentation. While using AI to create digital twins and synthetic voices is not yet common in Inna’s courses, incorporating this technology into the introductory video on digital branding was crucial. This example helps illustrate the potential and relevance of AI technologies in marketing, providing students with a firsthand look at innovative tools they might encounter in their careers.
